Photovoltaic Power Drives Energy Transformation in Burundi
Photovoltaic (PV) power generation is emerging as a crucial driver in the transformation of Burundi’s energy structure. With an average annual sunshine duration exceeding 2,000 hours and high solar radiation intensity, the country holds significant potential for large-scale solar energy development.
Currently, Burundi has installed 17 megawatts of photovoltaic capacity, primarily consisting of small-scale off-grid projects implemented with international support. While the market remains in its early stages, the foundation is being laid for sustainable growth and investment.
Yilu Energy is poised to align its strategic expansion with these global initiatives. Looking forward, the company will extend its footprint into Africa, leveraging clean and renewable energy to contribute to a more sustainable and empowered future for the continent.
